LO5 - Evaluation

• One improvement that could be made to my website is the loading times as currently they can sometimes be a little slow.

• Another improvement that could be made is the shop page sometimes loads an error message in place of the product I believe that this is a problem with Wix however as other people using Wix encounter this issue.

• Another improvement that could be made would be to add more products to the shop page. Although to do this I would need to be able to take photos of one of small machines' other products and I do not have enough time to do this. 

• Another improvement that could be made to my website could be that I oculd make it so that the most recent youtube video uploaded to the linked channel us shown on the homepage. I could do the same for the Facebook and Twitter pages.

• I could also make it so that there is a way of viewing other items in the shop without leaving the current products specific page.

LO4 - Test plan results summary

A.) Navigation
From the feedback I have received from my user test plans the navigation of the website. All of the links of the navigation bar work perfectly and connect to the correct part of the site. Through all five of the test plans not one reported any issue with the navigation links.
B.) Hyperlinks
All of the links on the website both internal and external hyperlinks work and redirect the user to the linked site e.g. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc.
C.)Page Load times
The page load times for the website are sometimes a little slow usually for the shop page as Wix seems to have trouble loading the shop correctly and will sometimes not load all of the items in the shop.
D.) Performance of website when using different browsers
According to my test plans and my own testing the website performs consistently across all browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome)
E.)Consistency of House Style
The House style of the website is consistent throughout all the pages

LO2 - Legal and ethical

Since my website includes an online shop it is important to protect the data of those using the shop. Security is required to protect the data of those using the online shop something that could help to protect peoples information is SSL (Secure sockets layer) It is typically used for email clients to create a secure link between the server and the user so that no one else can access the information on the page. SSL allows information such as login details and credit card numbers to be transferred securely.

In terms of copyright, I don't think that anyhthing I have used on my website needs permission to use as the images I used on the site I took myself and the Small Machines logo was given to me by the owner.

In terms of revenue I think that the site could make more money if toy shops and places that might stock small machines products were allowed to advertise on the website, this would allow the website to make more money from those advertisments. Places like 'The Entrtainer' toy shop on the moor or even bigger places like 'Toys are us' could advertise on the site.
